How many Prem teams are allowed in CL next season? 08:54 - May 9 with 816 views

Liverpool or Spurs will win the CL so would qualify for next seasons CL as winners, but assuming both will be top 4 in Prem, does that mean the 5th place team also go into the CL?

Add in the fact the 5th placed team could also win the Europa League and qualify for the CL would that mean the team in 6th also go into the CL?

Meaning 6 Prem teams in the CL?

5th place cant go into CL

It could have been a maximum of 5 team but if the 5th and 6th place teams had both won the European competitions then the 4th place team would have missed out. They amended the rule after Spurs missed out when Chelsea won it but only went to 5 not 6

In Sunday Chelsea and spurs (GD) were guaranteed a CL place for top 4. If man u had still been in the CL then the place wouldn't have been guaranteed
