24 Hours In police Custody 13:11 - Mar 26 with 5127 viewsBlueorder

One of the most traumatic things I have ever seen on TV. It will take a very long time for me to get rid of those images.

Last nights?

I’m just amazed by their utter lack of caring that they had killed someone. They didn’t even know why they’d done it!

The first case, actually seeing the stabbing, like wild animals. How is stabbing the go to response ? Just for a dodgy look? Why can’t they just tell each other to f@ck off and flip the bird and have done with it ?

Clearly you never watched "Naked Jungle" on TV in the early 2000's . it certainly takes you a long time to forget a bare bottomed Keith Chegwin.

Policeman / Paul_Knows interview.

Police; You killed Mr Smith on Tuesday night
P_K; "I killed him"?? (said in disbelief)

In court
Police giving evidence - I asked P_K if he killed Mr Smith and he replied "I killed him"

Ha! I get why they do it (and it's their right of course), just think it must be so annoying for the officers who are questioning!

i think its because people believe it will get them off. In reality, it makes them sound more guilty .

heres a great example *hides*

It just put the onus onto the police to prove them guilty beyond all reasonable doubt which sometimes as obvious as it seems is quite a difficult thing to do.

Say nothing and you dont drop yourself in it as the police who do the interviews are highly trained in extracting tit bits of information.

All men and women are created, by the, you know the, you know the thing.

Of course it has changed since tape recordings have been the norm as now you can get an idea of context. Also it used to be a right to remain silent and this could not be used against you however your right of remaining silent can now be used against you.

Even if innocent I would never recommend being interviewed without a solicitor.

We live in a police state.

Nah, if there is enough evidence for example clear CCTV that it's them, they get charged anyway. Self destruct.

My old man had to go to court back in the day, and he had cooperated with the police beforehand, but in court the police had completely twisted his words and put them out of context.
I used to think the same as you, but if you can not trust the police then it is better to say nothing.

Then don't sit on a jury in case you leap to the wrong conclusion.

Lucan is right. Try being honest with them and they twist everything you say.

Depends how you say 'no comment' as well. I find a listless tone makes the copper tired of asking it too.

I quite like the fact that the lad whose Mum tried to hide him in the bedroom, then kicked off with the cops and then snitched for a better deal still got 16yrs.

Indeed, he went full circle!

EDIT - didn't he say he'd snitch if he got a 'deal' from it?

I haven't seen it tbh, was just making a passing comment based on personal experience.

It's no wonder many people don't want to co operate when half the feckers have no interest in the truth themselves.

Making no excuses for any knife-carrying scumbags - that's another matter. The police should be allowed to slap them around.

I read about that ( have got this lined up on skyQ box ) didn't he think he would get off by snitching.

The driver of the BMW, which was the lad kicking off when the police arrived to arrest him, got 11 years.

Follow this up in front of the Judge with "I do not accept the authority of this court" and it's win-win!
