Anyone on here had any experience of a bruised heel? I've had one since October, when is it likely to be healed?

Is it the bottom of the heel?

I did that playing Sunday morning football on a frozen pitch in my mid 30's, it took months and months before it really went and was the last time I played 11 a side football.

Can't remember precisely how long but it was a very long time.

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

Yes, bottom of the heel. It's better than it was and last week i decided to test it with a few longish walks. Feeling it again though today

Google Plantar Fasciitis - it can cause pain anywhere along the sole of the foot. Sometimes really tricky to resolve and can take months of very specific exercises.

Yes - I had that for about a year. The best treatment I found was gel insoles for your shoes.

I had it - absolutely excruciating - but it responded to some lovely prescription drugs, Naproxen (anti-inflammatories).
