Third grandchild born this afternoon. Born in Birmingham, and although his father will attempt to bring him up properly to be a Town fan, I fear he may fall under the influence of his other grandfather who is a Baggies season ticket holder.
Now is this a general or football thread.?

If your headline had had one less E it could have related to the Arsenal Double winning Manager of 1970/71 and therefore football but....

Congratulations btw.

Depends.

Are any of his names 'Winston', 'trumpy-wumpy', 'Spencer', 'farage' or 'brexiteer'?

Oh, and congratulations.

Except for the baggies bit.

I do remind him occasionally of a match at Highbury in 1978. He was there.

His name has a very strong Ipswich connection. He is allied Parker.

That 7-0 was great,Paul Mariner's first home game and some tremendous goals.
Whymark almost unplayable a typical rocket from The Beat and a great strike by Mariner.

I thought that Mariner’s debut was against Liverpool when he scored with a fabulous header.

His debut was at Old Trafford although he did not score, the 7-0 against WBA was his home debut.Whymark 4,Beattie, Wark and Mariner(although as Eric Morecambe would have said "not necessarily in that order")

Congratulations.
Buy the baby a hideous verticle thick striped baby romper suit. That should put them off him becoming a baggies fan.
No one should wear thick verticle stripes. Uefa cup pinstripes are of course an exception ( and maybe that green king or barcelona style second kit at a push).
