Everything is still on the table 22:00 - Jan 29 with 6028 viewsSomethingBlue

It may only seem a tiny thing but that late Bolton goal gives a slither of hope to me - Reading look the kind of team that could pull clear with some momentum but now they don't really have any and the gap is the same as it was before those two away defeats. Saturday is winnable - in which case we *should* be down to four or five points off. As others have said, we are being helped by the poor quality of those around us but it will be a singularly low points total to stay up this year and just one decent little run would heave us towards it. This isn't done yet.

We may as well keep hoping but it’s just not gonna happen.

If we all give up what’s the point?

Got to still think there’s a chance, there is.

Until it’s mathematically impossible then it’s possible.

I agree, it's moments like a 92nd min equaliser for Bolton that get discussed at the end of a season as "defining". Must start helping ourselves though, the teams around us are doing their best for us!

I am with you 100% with that.

If we get out of this it is going to be, as PL says, a hell of a ride.
I think (and hope) that we might have a very enjoyable few weeks ahead.

We should not be in this situation and a year ago we were nowhere near it, but there you go.....

Yes, the little things haven't really gone for us but this - albeit quite small - one has and now we really have to start capitalising.

Always keep the faith ... we will probably win Saturday but so will one of those around us , and that will be like trying to push water uphill going into the next game .

Agree.

I think we're going to be fine. We don't have to be good enough to be in this division to stay up, we just have to be one point better than three other clubs who are also crod.

Anything is possibly we just need 3 wins on the bounce and hope those 3 teams above us don’t pick up any points.

Agree with you. We simply have to get going though, starting this weekend. That equaliser plus Chris Sutton should be all the motivation Lambert needs to give the players. Let's do it.

Not really, you basically said we are doomed but might as well carry on for the sake of it.

I find that utterly bizarre, we have football fans without hope. Football is supposed to be a release from life and blind loyalty mixed with a dream. For so many at Ipswich it is a misery that gets blamed on a manager, then a player, then an owner in a continuous cycle. I used to think it was just the young football fans being so caught up in the world of sky sports but respectable posters such as itfc forever can't wait to tweet how we are going to lose again every week as soon as we concede. It is just so bizarre, be gutted we conceded or lost but don't be smug about it. That is the stuff for man utd fans living in Suffolk

Forgive the Norwich connections, but this is really interesting on Lambert - they talk about him extensively from about 33 minutes in

He was good, came over well and the relationship between him Taylor and Gill was obviously a healthy one. Not sure he said anything earth-shattering, a reiteration of public comments about the club needing to rebuild things and the relationship with fans.

If he is here next season then it might not be dreadful.

I'll write a bit more if I get time later but these things always run on a request not to be too open in public afterwards.

It's not a case of "can't wait to tweet", more a prediction of what I think will happen in that afternoon's game.
And given we seem to follow the same pattern in away games at the moment, it's not the most difficult prediction in the world to make.

We go 1 up and you tweet we will lose, we go 1 down and You tweet we will lose. I find it very odd, if it is that predictable why tweet it? It can't be healthy
