I must confess, I didn't realise £8 mill of our income, currently comes in the form of tv and radio.

Was talking to a Bristol Rovers friend today, about what they get in league 1 for this. Maybe 2 mill absolutely pushing it.

We'd have a massive loss of income, players on too much ££££, relegation would be an absolute disaster for us as a football club. I doubt we have relegation clauses, or perhaps we do!?

I really think if we were to go down, coming back would take more than any 1/2/3 seasons. Would be a slog.

With 14 players out of contract in June the wage bill will be well reduced.

I think that is why PL will be looking at loanees in Jan so as not to have any unaffordable contracts were we to go down.

There may be a case for 'cashing in' on the likes of Knudson, Bart and Sears so as to begin the task of having outgoings meeting income.

No need to throw the baby out with the bathwater, or anything else nefarious in that regard.

How is it possible for someone to not know (a) how significant TV money is, and (b) that it drops off significantly as you drop down the leagues?

A proper Dominic Raab moment that

Do you know who the 14 are? I’m just trying to have an educated guess as to what we could potentially knock off the wage bill if we go down.

It would be a disaster financially, and many people at the club would suffer which would be a personal tragedy.

However, on the pitch, we’d be competing against 23 other clubs who have the same limited income and most of whom have far smaller support.

You couldn't be more wrong, but it's nice of you to make assumptions.

I don't read the Daily Mail.

I'm actually quite central, however I certainly am not left.

I doubt we can "cash in" on Bart given that he's on £20k a week & can't stop a pig in a passage at the moment, while Knudsen is free to sign a pre-contract agreement next month.
Usual Town mismanagement of players; Evans doesn't seem to have learned much in his tenure as Town owner.
