Pretty much the season I think. Not sure he’ll play again?

How good would it be for him to make an amazing recovery and play for us again this season though!? Would love to see him in our team now

I'd like to see him under Lambert, pretty much towns version of Holt but even better

Wasn't keen at first due to minutes played, but hopefully can get him back, or if not, maybe on a perm in summer

Who was going to retire?

Truly impaired.

Until March. His loan is up in January.

He's 35 and realistically his injury is going to keep him out until next season, when he'll be 36. I don't think too many outfield players have managed a new contract at this level at that age.

Seen him as an analyst on sky sports a few times, didn’t get the impression that there’s any chance of him playing for us again.

Assuming he is back with Burnley are we still paying his wages?

We would still be paying what we agreed to pay, whether he is here or not.

For me I thought it was PH panic loan and had no regard for recent injuries. As with all his loans PH was very poor compared to previous seasons and what other clubs were able to sign. He thought his L 1 were up to it but of course they weren't.
I'd send them all back including pennington (unless he plays RB) and get commanding CB influential CM and tall CF. By January many players will have seen their place in Prem teams either bench warmers or U23 but Pl will have to move quickly in order to integrate them asap.
