This is one of the only examples of a government dept. delivering on time and under budget. It should be noted for posterity.

Similar to mine, I was very impressed. Renewed online on a Sunday evening, posted my old one Monday and the new one came Friday at 9am.

Ha! Well mine runs out in April, and I'm not going away until June, so should give them plenty of time to sort it!

Enjoy carrying your 3.0156lbs of coins to the Post Office, where they'll be entitled to refuse your method of payment, as £85.50 in 50p coins is not legal tender.

I'm eagerly awaiting the moaning to begin when people find out the 'new' blue passports look like the current passports, and not like the 'old' blue passports.

As a learned scholar, facters, can you tell me why a crown or 25p is listed as legal tender today? Aren't they redundant as currency?

They are still legal tender, but only issued for commemorative reasons.

A crown now has a face value of £5 apparently.

Shocking approach to security about passports at Bury St Edmunds Post Office.

I took Mrs Factual's old passport in on Monday to post back, as she was applying on line. Chap duly weighed the small jiffy bag, charged me £1.01. After looking at the address he said 'I won't bother asking you what's in it'.

I remember the goode olde days of 7 week waits for a new passport.

In the 38 games in which ALB played in goal for us, we averaged 1.53 points per game which, had they been over the course of a single season, would have seen us challenging for the play offs. This at a time when we were otherwise struggling against relegation. Oh, and didn't Mick Mills have terrific posture.

After Brexit the campaign will move onto bringing back the imperial money system. 240 old pence in the pound is the future.

Isn't that annoying, having your passport written in French?

Well it looks like a duck, it sounds like a duck. Nope, dunno what it is.

I wonder if you will be counted as an immigrant now that you are Irish.
