Button-fly chinos 12:58 - Oct 18 with 2034 viewsuefacup81

I recently bought a very good pair of chinos from Next, with a button fly, that came in about £20-£30. I went back today to get a few more pairs and, lo and behold, all of the styles have been changed to a zip fly.

Can any of you recommend anywhere else I might be able to get a good pair of button-fly chinos for a reasonable price?

I got some recently from Primark for £10 I think. I got a black pair for work, but I'm sure they had more colours.

Yer I think they're fine. Fitting is fine, went for a slim leg as the straight leg did feel like I was wearing flares! Other than that, so far so good.

Dunno, just prefer them. Always have done. No historical frank/beans related trauma, if that's what you're wondering!

Charles Thyrwitt do some good value ones if you buy more than 2 pairs. About £35 a pair on a multi-buy

A girl I live with is the PA to the CEO of the world's largest zip manufacturer. I did not know this before but they make roughly 90% of the world's zips and this is why your zip will likely bear the YKK brand.

Fascinating stuff.

No danger of getting caught in a button fly.

Mr Bluebell hates button flies. He says a zip is much quicker to work when he is desperate for a wee. Buttons take much longer to undo!

Next and very good clothes aren't really aligned.

Below average quality for well above average price. I just use the TK Maxx jumble sale. 99% of stuff is horrendous but occasionally you'll stumble across absolute gems.

I know that was then, but it could be again..
