So if Waghorn goes... 22:02 - Jul 24 with 1836 views | clive_baker | That’s: Waghorn £8m Webster £3.5m Knight £1m World Cup fees: £0.4m Plus McGoldrick, Webster, Waghorn, Bru, Celina, CCV, Iorfa, Hyam, Carayol, Gleeson, Connolly, McCarthy and Connor off the wage bill since the end of last season. Replaced (so far) by Chalobah, Edwards, Roberts, Harrison, Hurst, Doig. Must be monumental upside as things stand. I look forward to some exciting additions over the next couple of weeks of this #newera. Or is it #samesh1tdifferentguise?

So if Waghorn goes... on 22:07 - Jul 24 with 1710 views | sixtouchfootball | When you look at it like this it's a big ol' cloth cutting exercise. Hopefully we keep Waghorn but £8m is £8m (if true figure). Any optimism I had for this season is slowly evaporating.
So if Waghorn goes... on 22:07 - Jul 24 with 1693 views | backwiththeboysagain | The only one who will be happy with this will be Evans. I’d be amazed if we spend anywhere close to £5 million of that.

I’m not sure how you can say that until you see what happens. I get the feeling Hurst has played the game here and wants the money to bring more in. There’s no doubt we will have lost 2 or 3 good players and the lower league signings are risky might be a long old hard season.

Doesn’t do it for me. Ok, if Waghorn goes for £8m then it’s imperative we replace him with a proven goal scorer, not a hopeful punt. In addition I would really want to see a couple of proven championship players, not a whole batch of hopeful league 1 and 2 players.

Bradshaw scored just 4 goals less for a side that got relegated last season....

What else do you call it then? Evans is maximising revenue so that he doesn't need to put as much of his own funds into running the club. Is that not obvious?

Is there enough jobs at Ipswich hospital for all their wives? Maybe if Mrs Coppinger leaves that’ll free up a position?

I'm pi$$ed off like everyone but have to go with this yeah...hope you're right.. If nothing seriously happens though, it'll be a pretty subdued PR come kick off time against Blackburn, that can really reflect badly when we should all be buzzing and ready to go.. Hurst has to be in on this, no way Evan's would do this right now with no plan in place again surely, not with Hurst just arriving..
