I think we'd honestly have zero issue scoring 1 or 2 vs either of them.
They were both all over the place at the back.
Midfield I think we could control Portugal's - Moutinho was horrific tonight. Koke poor for Spain also.
Spain lack pace - give the ball away at times and Portugal hit them on the break a few times in the first half - I think we could do something similar.
Not that we can even play either of them until quarters at the earliest - possibly later - so it's a little irrelevant unless we go on to do something!?

No, we’ve no realistic chance, have we really. Man for man we can’t touch several on the teams in the tournament and I don’t see a lot of eveidence yet of that crazy dog spirit in the team that can take an average team onto something extraordinary (like a Leicester!). If they start well, good tempo and get a couple of wins we might get to last 8, but I’m not too hopeful personally. | |
