Sir Alf's house up for sale...... 19:05 - Apr 9 with 10492 viewsBanburyBlue

a bit dated now but would love to buy it just for the nostalgia.
Proper memorabilia as well, still has his portrait hanging on the wall.

I saw someone say that Lady Ramsey died last week but not seen anything else on it anywhere. I presume that's why then.

I saw FelsteadBoy on twitter mention it, I then searched it on twitter and didn't see anything else, assumed it would be news worthy?!

Thought it was there, not too far from me.

Edit; It's bloody smaller than mine, I thought he might have had one of the bigger ones set further back.

Edit Edit; it must be a fair size plot as it needs a bit of a sprucing up.

I cry when I see the current prices of the two houses I grew up in. The one is now over 200 times dearer than my parents sold it for, the second over 100 times dearer.

Decor will be spot on....my Dad decorated some of that house! Apparently one of the rooms was a small Sir Alf "museum".

This was about 9 years ago.

Do you reckon that as it's the former home of an England World Cup winning manager that it bumps the price up?

I note they have used it in the description.

Tell me about it.

My Dad used to live in Fulham.

I get depressed thinking about it.

I don't think its overpriced, needs a bit of updating but otherwise about where it should be without the Sir Alf connection.

My dad's parents house in Angmering, Sussex, where we used to go for a couple weeks every summer as kids was listed at 650k a couple years ago. It's down a private road, but the property itself is just a bungalow. A lovely little bungalow but nothing fancy. sadly they had to sell it to pay for their care when they had to move into nursing homes

If those wall could talk! I think he bought that when he got the England job, living in a Club house in Crofton Rd before. So he returned back there after winning the World Cup, got to be worth a Blue Plaque! Returned there after Banks was taken sick in Mexico and we got beat by Germany. Returned there after Poland 73’ and he’s just about out of a job. The visitors to that house would be a who’s who of football I’d imagine. SIr Bobby not one of them though?

Correction. It needs £100k to modernise it to suit current tastes.

It’s actually immaculate and perfectly fit for habitation.

Wow how special must it be to own that house, when someone visits you could say Ipswich's greatest ever manager lived in this house. Does if have a blue plaque on the house and if not why not?
