Polite applause. Is that the correct protocol?

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.

Did you really because I didn’t. Why would anyone boo him.

Neither. He was in the opposition lineup, why would he be of any interest to me than any other of their players?

He’s hardly a nothing, he’s a player that we will all remember with affection.

But when he plays against us, polite applause and then largely ignoring him is fine.

(Insert joke about Mick not realising he’s gone here)

Don't see why anyone would boo him. He gave us a good service and carried us to our best season in a decade. Nobody can blame him moving on to Newcastle given the silly money they were throwing at him. Neither really do I blame us selling him at that stage of his career. It's not his fault we didn't replace him properly.

I guess it depends on how you view him. He did say he was happy with us and loved the area, family was settled etc. So moves to Newcastle then Nottingham!

I think the attitude of ignoring him is best. We can't and shouldn't forget what he did for us, but he has gone and brought in a large sum of money, considering his age. He will be financially secure for his life, so we can't begrudge him that.

There were idiots booing Murph, fuxin disgrace if you ask me!!

As for some of you come across rather fickle in your views towards Murph considering how good he was for our club and yet some of you cling onto the memory of others that didn't give or achieve half as much in their time here as Murph did in his!

I applauded him as he always gave 100% for the shirt and I respect that and he always will be applauded by my for that!

Why would anyone boo him? Only brain dead, uneducated Town fans who don't know their history or what he has done for the club would.

Why did you boo him?

I applauded when his name was read out before kick off as I do for any ex players that have given us good service, seems the sensible and decent thing to do.

I'm settled here and love this area, but if I was offered an opportunity to ply my trade at the highest level for a few more quid for what is likely to be a brief time, I would snap the hand off the person offering the chance.
