Those Aussie bowlers were just able to to it home and away. It's hard to leave people out but what a team that would be! Gower is my weak spot but I just loved watching him bat!

Gooch was my hero as a kid but don't remember him ever hitting the heights against Australia. Do recall Alderman repeatedly getting him in one series. He would make most lists of cricket greats though, that 154 against the West Indies has to be one of the greatest innings of all time.

	No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

I could never have Anderson in based on Ashes performances above someone like Terry Alderman, who took 40-odd wickets in the '81 series. Anderson is the better bowler all round, but not in Ashes series' - in fact, Broad might be rate higher than him in that context.

I'd struggle to make a case for an England Bowler, other than Botham in the allrounder slot in an all time 11. Maybe Bob Willis for that one afternoon...
