Worst: Panna Cotta - what's the point?
Best: Sticky Toffee Pudding, ideally with cream.

Try and argue otherwise if you want but deep down you know I'm right.

Just ordinary semi-skimmed to make the custard base, then between 3/4 to one ounce of sugar to each egg yolk, then, weh chilled, double the volume with double cream. I keep an airtight jar in the larder with sugar & a vanilla pod, makes the smoothest creamiest vanilla ice cream you've ever tasted.

Experimented with a new flavour last week, nutella (but using Sainsbury's own brand). Not good enough, need to increase the nutella content, then (to copy some I had in the summer) add some crushed Ferrero Rocher. On the other hand I might have another go at Toblerone ice cream, haven't made that for years.

Best: Sticky toffee pudding, special mention to treacle tart
Worst: Rice pudding, special mention to the vastly overrated Creme Brulee.

Not usually a sweet person but if I must then I quite like creme brulee. And proper rice pudding.

However...

Worst: cheesecake.

Bestest: Orange gateau

O god, another food thread - this can only end badly ...

Anyway - best by a country mile is Sussex Pond Pudding

With a special mention to Treacle Tart.

Worst - rice pudding, with a dishonourable mention to tapioca ...

This sorcery sounds very tempting.

However, I am lazy as fook.

It's not saucy, it's creamy.

Orange gateau?!?

Interesting.

I think cheesecake is good when done property with a bold flavour. Too many are bland.

Truly impaired.

Mate, Tesco, (yes I know), used to do a lovely orange gateau but discontinued the line.

I made one once but baking isn't really my thing. It was fine but I find cakes too much faffing for me.

My sister made a fantastic one on my birthday on request but I've not had one since.

Bloody Tesco, is there no end to their evil? It was their New York vanilla cheesecake I was thinking of when I said many are bland.

I must say that sounds quite good.

Although I missed it by a smidgen, you and factors possibly remember it quite well.

So... Cream or custard with that?
