A Day to Define History
Written by RaymondovicBlue on Thursday, 2nd Apr 2015 12:39

As we celebrate the day Christians say defined history - our beloved Town take on high flying Bournemouth in the game that will surely define our season - and possibly theirs. They are high flying and I'll be looking to the Sky... as I sit in front of the TV in the home of many Bournemouth fans to shout for my team!

Whilst they sit pretty, believing that they can score more than they concede in each of their remaining games - we simply have to win if we want any chance of a good run in. And when we have beaten AFCB we then have to rise again beat the others also. cup final will follow cup final, will follow cup final. Who knows - we may have one at Wembley in May !

We have seen in the various posts that with new additions and others coming back from injury we have the squad to do it - but do we have the will?

Clearly, new recruits and returners will need time to bed in - and exciting youngsters may be considered a risk too far - but we have the squad for a solid 4-4-2 - and also an exiting 4-3-3 (4-2-3-1) which could set the league alight like AFCB have this year.

Mick and Terry will certainly be doing their utmost to get it right and we have to trust them to put the best 11 on the field, to make the right positive changes as the game progresses, and to make us laugh or cry in the post match 'Foxtrot' interview !

The players will play for the shirt - or will not play again under Mick, regardless of how loud we shout.

Talking of which - do we have the will? You and me - to shout that the pitch - or at the TV - and to keep believing and celebrating this 'better than most' season to the end, or at least until hope's end?

I can't travel all the way to Ipswich on Good Friday (was coming before it changed date!) but I will be putting my head on the block by sitting in a room full of AFCB fans for the game. I believe that arrangement is more 'dangerous' than being at the ground in upper North (sorry Sir Bob!) - so I ask those of you who have the religious freedom that being among friends at the ground affords, do you have the will to be that 12th man we clearly will need on Friday? Sing your hearts out for the boys.

COME ON YOU BLUES

Oh - and please have a blessed Easter too !

No. Trouble in the Sir Bobby upper - why would there be? Just such a shame we didn't get to see JW play. Bishop brought off early maybe due to concern at recent shin splint fears. Bart superb saves, but 4 kicks straight into touch. Try a few roll outs to the full backs in future like other keepers do.
